Petition President Biden and EPA Administrator Regan to finalize and implement the strongest possible pollution standards by May of 2024

ANHE nurses Shawana S. Moore, Nelson Tuazon, Theresa Watts, and Atenas Mena describe how nurses have both the power and the opportunities to protect communities from climate pollution.

Since 2021, we have seen tremendous progress in advancing action to tackle the climate crisis and clean up our air, including the passage of the largest ever climate and clean energy investments in the historic Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) and proposed safeguards to reduce pollution from cars, power plants, and the oil and gas sector.

However, we know we have just a short window of time to finalize these important protections. The impact of air pollution and climate pollution on our health is clear. The Biden Administration has a vast responsibility and authority to protect our health. Join the Alliance of Nurses for Healthy Environments and nurses across the country in urging President Biden and EPA Administrator Regan to act boldly and swiftly to finalize and implement the strongest possible pollution standards by May of 2024. Our health – and our climate – can’t wait!
