We need your help! Join public health nurses and nursing organizations as we challenge the City of Atlanta to revoke its lease agreement with the Atlanta Police Foundation for the construction of the Dekalb County’s Cop City/Atlanta Public Safety Training Center. This is an essential step to addressing structural racism and advancing environmental justice for communities impacted by the construction of this facility.
The proposed center has already destroyed tree canopies vital to protecting these communities from air pollution and excessive heat, and the facility itself will further structural racism by militarizing law enforcement and normalizing police violence.
We need nurses from your state to sign-on! Can you sign on and share?
Thank you for your support!
