Nurses Responsd to EPA’s Proposal to Censor Science

In April of 2018, EPA announced a a proposed rule, under the veil of “transparency”, that would restrict the evidence that EPA could evaluate when considering the health impacts/benefits of regulations. The proposed rule, “Strengthening Transparency in Regulatory Science”, would limit the use of the best available research in developing health-based standards. In order to truly protect public health, the EPA must consider the full extent of available science on the health impacts of environmental exposures. The Alliance of Nurses for Healthy Environments along with 6 other nursing organizations and over 30 nurses joined together in calling on the EPA to withdrawal this dangerous proposal.
